We have set up the CRF Private Chat for people with an interest in cats with Chronic Renal Failure. The chat has been meeting for more than 18 months now.

The Chat is held on AOL on Sundays from 5-6PM Pacific time, 6-7PM Mountain time, 7-8PM Central time and 8-9PM Eastern time. The name of the private room is "crf".

To get to the private room, click on People Connection, click on Private Room and type in "crf"

Dr. Kathleen Carson DVM (Critterhlr) has generously volunteered to come and be our vet, however she can't diagnose or prescribe for you, but can answer general questions and make suggestions. She vets in both the alternative and conventional arenas and has a special interest in both felines and the geriatric pet.

As you come into the room, would you please give us a quick overview of your kitty. name, age, and current condition and mention any other health problems that may be complicating the CRF. This will give us all an even platform to work with. We use screen names only, not to confuse people :).

This is designed to be a sharing forum, sharing what has and has not worked for each of us, as well as giving us a place to share our successes and concerns with others who know *exactly* what we are going thru. So while the temptation will be to bombard Critterhlr with all our questions, we can learn a lot from each other as well.

This has proven to be a valuable and supportive experience for us all...along with this wonderful mailing list.
